About Me

My name is Ileana Oxley (she/her/hers) and I began my career working in the pharmaceutical business working on clinical trials. I later obtained my Bachelor's of Professional Studies (BPS) from Barry University. I became interested in family systems after serving many years at our local church running their divorce care and family blending classes, so I returned to school 17 years later and graduated with my master's degree from Nova Southeastern University in Marriage and Family Therapy.

Immediately after completing my master's, I enrolled at the International Institute of Clinical Sexology (IICS) and completed all the coursework for my Ph.D. with a dissertation pending. I am licensed by The Florida Board of Clinical Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy, and Mental Health Counseling and have worked mostly in private practice. I briefly worked for an addiction center running group sessions in between working for private practice firms and have experience counseling clients in all kinds of situations.

I am EMDR certified and regularly use this incredible therapy modality to treat trauma. It has been very effective for treating veterans, first responders including police officers, nurses, doctors, firefighters as well as those who suffered in natural disasters, and people of all ages 6 years old to the elderly who suffered various forms of trauma.

I’m fluent in Spanish.
